Description
The New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) offers full-time tertiary programmes for aspiring professional dancers, focusing on technique, musicality, coordination, and dedication. Students major in classical ballet or contemporary dance while maintaining a base in the other. NZSD's expert faculty is supported by international guest tutors and specialists in anatomy, nutrition, and physiotherapy. The School has nine studios, a theatre, library, pilates studio, and physio rooms. Students use a modern gym and train with a personal trainer. NZSD is the Official School of the Royal New Zealand Ballet and The New Zealand Dance Company, offering secondments with top companies worldwide. NZSD is funded by the Ministry of Education and registered with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Nutrition, Pilates, Anatomy and Dance History.
Contact Hours
8.30 - 5.45 (Monday to Friday) and 8.30 - 12.30 (Saturdays).
More hours may be required at certain times.

Auditions Date
Digital: 29 August. Live auditions: 20 September, 2, 4 & 5 October.
Scholarship or Subsidies
Scholarships may be available to students who have successfully completed at least one year of
study at NZSD, on the grounds of financial hardship.
