What is your best memory of your full-time dance studies?

One of the best memories I personally loved was the feeling at the start of the graduation concert. The lights go down, your heart races with excitement and the audience goes wild. You’ve worked so hard for two years and then all that is left to do is perform and do what you love.

What is the main overall lesson you learnt?

The incredible directors, William A Forsythe, Elena De Cinque and Mario De Cinque, taught me to be organised and present. As I look back on the years from since I’ve graduated I don’t think one day goes by were I haven’t used a skill that I’ve learnt from my time at ED5 International. From mock auditions to graduation rehearsals, you learn vital skills that help you every time you step into a rehearsal room, an audition and the stage.

Ryan is one of a number of featured graduates who tell their stories in the Full-Time Studies Guide in the current issue of Dance Australia (July/August/September). Print is for keeps! Buy your issue in your favourite newsagent or dance retailer or online here or here.
