Description
Queensland Ballet Academy is the official training school of Queensland Ballet, with a long-established history of developing the next generation of professional dancers in a world-class setting. Our Academy is a springboard from which students work to develop lifelong creativity, curiosity and technical ballet proficiency. Our faculty is made up of renowned ballet and dance artists, as well as in-house performance health and student wellbeing experts. This ensures our students are nurtured throughout their journey ï¾— creatively, physically and mentally. The Academy's commitment to the safe and progressive development of our dancers' minds and bodies is central to all that we do.
Main Subjects
Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Classical Character & Historical Dance, Pas de Deux, Male Technique, Pointe.
Contact Hours
Pre-Professional Program: 37+ hours per week
Upper and Lower School: 14 to 25+ hours per week depending on level.
Guest Academy Program: 4x five-day visits per year, during school terms.
Foundation Program: This program is delivered as an after school offering from Monday - Friday. Children are encouraged to attend at least once, and up to four afternoons per week depending on level.

Scholarship or Subsidies
Thanks to the generous support of our donors and partners, Queensland Ballet is enabled to distribute financial assistance bursaries via an annual application process. Scholarships and awards may also be offered at the discretion of the Academy Director.
