Long before Harry Potter there was another flying car, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, star of the 1968 film of the same name.  Based on the novel by Ian Fleming, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is the tale of the adventures of an extraordinary car that flies through the air and sales the seas.

The musical version of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang first appeared in 2002 when at the London Palladium.  It has since played Broadway and earned a host of awards and nominations along the way, and the Chitty stage car holds the Guinness World Record for being the most expensive prop in the history of British theatre!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’s cast includes award-winning actor Rachael Beck, who will play the role of Truly Scrumptious.  The character of Caractacus Potts will be taken by tenor David Hobson, one of Australia’s best-known singers and recording artists.  Former Sydney Dance Company dancer, Annabel Knight, will appear in the ensemble.
