WA’s STRUT dance will be launching its new three-year program STRUT Up and Dance next week but there’s one exciting detail that has already been announced and that’s a new partnership between STRUT dance and Gaga, Ohad Naharin’s movement language. Gaga has been developed on Israel’s Batsheva Dance Company, of which Naharin is artistic director.
Kicking off the three-year partnership will be a two week master workshop of Gaga and Ohad Naharin repertoire to be held in Perth during February 2014. Batsheva Dance Company will be in Perth performing at the Perth International Arts so this is a rare opportunity for Australian dancers to learn about Gaga and see it in action on stage.
