Each year, the Prix de Lausanne draws the attention of the global dance community, offering gifted young dancers the chance to be seen by directors of the world’s most prestigious schools and companies. For many, it is the first step towards an international career.
Registrations for the 2026 edition are now open. Dancers of all nationalities born between 8 February 2007 and 7 February 2011 are eligible to apply.
Registration runs from 1 to 30 September 2025 (12pm Swiss time). Applicants must:

Read the competition’s Procedure and Rules & Regulations in full.

Submit medical records during the registration window using the official form completed with a doctor.

Pay a non-refundable fee of 175 Swiss Francs online by credit card.

Provide a video file to the Prix de Lausanne office before 10 October 2025.
Successful candidates will be notified by 30 October 2025 and given details of the second registration stage.
Coinciding with the opening of registrations, the Prix has also unveiled its 2026 posters, designed by Alain Kissling of atelier k with photographs by official photographer Gregory Batardon. In keeping with tradition, the posters feature two of last year’s Prize Winners:

Hanxi Wang (P.R. China), trained at the Shanghai Dance School, who will join the Bayerisches Junior Ballett.

Jakob Wheway Hughes (UK), trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, who will join English National Ballet.
For the first time, the organisation has released four separate poster designs, celebrating both classical ballet and contemporary dance.
The Prix de Lausanne continues to provide extraordinary opportunities for young artists, offering international exposure and pathways to the world’s leading schools and companies.
