 We are looking for two male and two female dancers to work with Xanthe Geeves, the winner of the Dance Australia Emerging Female Classical Choreographer (EFCC) initiative.

 As the winner of the EFCC, Xanthe Geeves has received a residency at the Sydney Opera House during which she will choreograph a new work that will eventually be seen as part of the Bodytorque season presented by the Australian Ballet.

 Successful applicants will work with Xanthe at the Sydney Opera House rehearsal studios for one week to help her bring a new ballet to life. 

Please note: The contract is for rehearsals only, the final presentation will be performed by dancers of The Australian Ballet. It is a paid contract.

 Xanthe is looking for:

  • Female and male dancers with professional experience on stage with ballet and contemporary companies.
  • Female dancers with expertise performing en pointe.
  • Experience in pas de deux and partnering.
  • Enthusiastic, expressive and creative performers.
  • All applicants are expected to be collaborative and proactive in the choreographic process.

 Date of contract: June 7 to 11.
