The Boys’ Summer School will return from 28 December 2025 to 2 January 2026 at The McDonald College, offering a dedicated space for young male dancers to train, connect and develop their artistry. Led by esteemed Artistic Director Adam Bull, the program brings together an accomplished team of teachers and choreographers, including the newly announced guest tutor, celebrated dancer and former Principal Artist Daniel Gaudiello.
The Summer School is designed specifically for boys who are passionate about dance, providing intensive training across Ballet, Repertoire, Contemporary and Character. The week culminates in a Showcase performance for family and friends, celebrating the progress and achievements of the participants.
The program welcomes boys at all levels of experience, with classes offered across Junior, Intermediate and Advanced streams. Dancers aged ten and under begin in the Junior level, with any level changes discussed on the first day. Younger students may attend as day participants, while boys aged eleven and over are encouraged to board onsite at The McDonald College. Boarding is provided at no extra cost, with priority given to those travelling from outside Sydney. The College’s boarding facilities offer modern, comfortable accommodation with communal spaces for recreation and meals.
The Boys’ Summer School has long been committed to creating an environment that nurtures confidence, resilience and artistic growth. Founded through a partnership between Shore School and Alegria Studios, the program was established to bring young male dancers together for focused technical development and meaningful connection. Over the years it has been guided by influential artistic directors and supported by an impressive roster of tutors from across the national dance community. Alumni include Harry Churches, Brayden Gallucci, Harrison Lee, and Josh Hunt.
This year’s faculty brings together a distinguished group of artists and educators:
• Artistic Director Adam Bull
• National Character specialist Wanda Wojtulewicz Levine
• Celebrity Tutor Daniel Gaudiello
• Robert Bruist
• Chris Haines
The continued aim of the Boys’ Summer School is to affirm and encourage young men in their pursuit of dance, offering them a place to refine their skills, build friendships and recognise that they are part of a wide and vibrant community of male dancers across Australia and beyond.
