Australasian Dance Collective has announced an expansive 2026 season that will see the company premiere new work, revive landmark programs and embark on a significant international tour. The program reflects ADC’s commitment to presenting bold artistic voices and expanding the possibilities of contemporary dance.

A centrepiece of the season is the return of THREE, which enters its fourth iteration in 2026. Showing at Brisbane Powerhouse in July, this edition features two major new commissions from acclaimed Australian choreographers Amber McCartney and Joel Bray, alongside the Queensland debut of Harrison Ritchie Jones’ celebrated duet CUDDLE. Since its premiere in 2021, THREE has become a highlight of ADC’s biennial programming, known for amplifying distinctive artistic perspectives and elevating the versatility of the company’s ensemble.

Artistic Director and CEO Amy Hollingsworth said she is proud to bring a new edition of the platform to Brisbane audiences. “THREE brings together a myriad of perspectives in a single program, showcasing the creativity, skill and versatility of our Company Artists, while giving each choreographer space to share their distinctive voice.” Tickets go on sale on 9 December, with performances running from 15 to 18 July at Brisbane Powerhouse.

The 2026 season also includes a major new site specific work created by Jack Lister and Amy Hollingsworth. Building on the momentum of Relic in early 2025, which transformed the UAP Foundry into a vast performance landscape, the company will premiere a new immersive experience in early 2026. Details of the location and concept remain under wraps, but expectations for this next collaboration are high.

Assembly Vol. 2 will return for one night only, continuing the success of its original season. The program will once again bring an electrifying blend of live music and contemporary dance to the stage, uniting three musical acts with a new work by Alisdair Macindoe. The event underscores ADC’s ongoing investment in interdisciplinary creation and its capacity to bring diverse artistic communities together.

The year will culminate in a major international tour, taking ADC’s acclaimed repertoire to audiences across the globe. The tour further consolidates the company’s growing international profile and positions ADC as one of Australia’s leading contemporary dance voices.

With more announcements still to come, ADC’s 2026 season promises a year of innovation, collaboration and artistic risk taking, inviting audiences to engage with contemporary dance in fresh and unexpected ways.
