Brisbane's Australasian Dance Collective has launched a new on-line platform of dance films and educational resources.

Artistic director Amy Hollingsworth has always been excited by the possibilities of digital technology and dance. The changing performance landscape through the pandemic has accelerated the company's plans to connect digitally with people not just throughout Australia but all over the world.

This new platform has two parts. "Digital Suite" houses a collection of dance films created by the company and commissioned especially for the digital space. Choreographed by company dancer Jack Lister in collaboration with director Ryan Renshaw, the suite comprises “the intricate and hauntingly beautiful” Still Life films Vanitas,Tabeo and Interitus.

The films are available to buy for a modest fee through the ADC's website.

The second part of the initiative is the "Creative Learning Suite", which provides the same films along with behind-the-scenes glimpses, interviews and teaching resources designed for the classoom. It includes the Stage Suite, featuring repertoire excerpts broken down for easy learning, interviews, task work and creative processes. The "Toolkit" Suite includes practice-based resources such as improvisation scores and technique.

The Creative Learning Suite will be available for subscription through the ADC website. Subscribe before January 1, 2022, to secure an early bird discount.
