Our history: Our teachers work with dancers who have a variety of neurological conditions. They are Dance for PD® trained and follow that class model, whose core values include providing a safe, enjoyable and creative environment for participants, their caregivers, spouses, partners and friends. In class, teaching artists introduce movement from modern and theatre dance, ballet, folk dance, tap, improvisation and choreographic repertory to engage the participants’ minds and bodies. Through an empowering approach, participants learn to enhance their aesthetic awareness and grace while addressing concerns as balance, flexibility, coordination, posture, gait, social isolation and depression.
