June is upon us, and our June/July issue is out now!

The June/July issue has become our regular audition issue. This year we have focused on auditioning for full-time schools, in time for next year's intake. Accompanying our extensive listings, we have an article dedicated to the audition interview. Dancers often neglect to prepare for this part of the audition, but it is crucial, especially as dancers are used to speaking with their bodies, not with words! We have found out what questions prospective students are likely to be asked. We also have advice on how to control your nerves and let your words reveal the real, best you!

Also in this issue, Karen van Ulzen describes her visit to the Houston Ballet, which invited her to see the premiere of the company's beautiful production of Romeo and Juliet in preparation for its Melbourne appearance. We have some beautiful photographs of the company onstage and in rehearsal.

Our editor was also in New York at this year's Youth America Grand Prix and was astonished at the talent on display. You can read her account and see some stunning photographs of the young contestants.

Sally Clark has paid a visit to the new Dream Dance Company in Sydney. This intrepid company, established by Marko Panzic, has been established with the ambition of bringing commercial dancers from out behind the lead singers they are usually backing and putting them front of stage.

We also have a profile of the prolific independent dancer, Lina Limosani, an article on Sydney company Force Majeure, and we find out what it's like to tour the United States as a music theatre performer. Our regular nutritionist, Fiona Sutherland, discusses appetite, Emma Sandall advises on maintaining your energy and Matthew Lawrence has some gripes about rude audiences. And of course we have our usual informative news and reviews.
