Congratulations to Miss Joy Ransley of the Ransley Ballet (Qld) who was recently recognised by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) in the United Kingdom for her loyal and devoted service to the RAD, having been an examiner for over 50 years.
Miss Ransley took her first exam tour in 1966 and continues to examine world-wide to this day, as well as teaching at the Ransley Ballet.
Miss Ransley received acknowledgement from Luke Rittner, the CEO, at an RAD function in Brisbane, then in London at an RAD examiners' meeting in January, with a floral tribute. She also received a moving acknowledgement from Andrew McBirnie, the RAD's examiner executive, acknowledging her 50 years of loyalty to the RAD and very successful work over that period of time, for which she received a standing ovation from her colleagues.
