Workshop with Elias Garcia/Audition for Spain's Ballet de Catalunya (Sydney)

An opportunity to learn from one of Europe’s most cutting edge Ballet Directors, Elias Garcia. The 3 day Workshop for students 10yrs+ will be held at Village at AMPA, Sydney.

Elias was a Principal Dancer in Ballet de Montecarlo before going on to found Ibstage and Ballet de Catalunya. Ibstage one of Europe’s most renowned Summer Schools. 3 weeks long, it culminates in a 2 night Gala at the stunning Barcelona Opera House alongside international stars. Founded by Elias in 2016, Ballet de Catalunya has been gaining international recognition with rave reviews from critics, and will be embarking on its first international tour in 2019.

Scholarships to Ibstage will be awarded. Additionally there is an Audition for Ballet de Catalunya for 17yrs+.

It is quite common to have international guest teachers come to Australia to teach, and also not unusual for Ballet School Directors from Europe and America to come. But it is very rare for an Artistic Director of a company to teach and audition - this is a fantastic opportunity for Australian dancers, not to be missed.
