A double-bill by Ina Christel Johannessen and Garry Stewart World Premiere Australia/Norway Adelaide Festival Centre's Dance Season In an extraordinary double bill from two highly acclaimed choreographers, Ina Christel Johannessen and Garry Stewart, Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) dancers traverse the faraway corners of the Arctic Circle and Antarctica. From Norwegian choreographer Johannessen, North explores the intimate and powerful exchange that plays out between humans and their environment. Stewart’s South depicts Sir Douglas Mawson’s fateful and dramatic journey to Antarctica in 1913 as an allegory for our current predicament in the era of rapid global warming.

The full-time students of The Australian Ballet School will perform in Showcase 2019 — a carefully curated program of ballets where beauty, symmetry and finesse are balanced with the boundless passion and flair of young talent.

The 8th annual Australian Tap Dance Festival will shuffle into Melbourne this Spring, 28 September – 5 October, featuring a world class line-up of spectacular tappers on show at Australia’s premiere celebration of tap.
