CERTIFICATION AND ACCREDITATION
The Tanya Pearson Academy is a partner with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD). TPA full-time students have the option to obtain a qualification in dance as part of their full-time training - CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance).
This vocational Diploma is equivalent to Year 12 completion and provides entry into higher education and University institutions throughout the country within the Arts and Business Development related programs.

The TPA has recently moved into a new state of the art world class dance facility with seven spacious purpose-built studios with professional sound systems and sprung floors; an in-house theatre performance space (soon to come); academic classrooms; Pilates/gym & physiotherapy facilities.
We offer our students unique performance and audition opportunities throughout the year. With our exclusive connections to national and international companies and school directors, we have a unique opportunity to offer optimal career advice and facilitate private auditions tailored for each individual dancer.
The Academy has a long history of producing very successful artists with fulfilling long term careers in prestigious dance companies in Australia and around the world.
Main Subjects
Classical ballet, character, pas de deux, contemporary, pointe classes, classical variation, virtuosity, male coaching, repertoire, dance history, professional CV, video and photo applications, anatomy and injury prevention, dance psychology sessions and goal setting, nutrition, career planning and career networking, Pilates, limber/stretch and conditioning, private coaching for competitions and auditions, on-site academic tutoring and on-site physiotherapists.

Additional hours provided for on-site academic tutoring and lectures.
Pre-Requisites
Sufficient level of classical ballet training and talent.
