The ArtistPro? International Program has been created to enable graduates to emerge as complete dancers who are ready to succeed in international ballet and contemporary companies.
At Sydney College of Dance students learn to become highly skilled and versatile dancers in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance. We prepare students to be versatile for the diverse repertoire of modern-day companies.
Career placements of 2020 graduates are Introdans Company, Hamburg Ballet School, Australian Ballet School, Royal Conservatory of the Hague, Zurich University of Dance.

Dancers will achieve a strong adaptable technique; develop their own individual artistry and will be guided to achieve the psychological and emotional readiness needed to enter the professional dance world. Students will be individually prepared for mid-year assessments, RAD exams; professional school and company auditions; scholarships; national competitions and international competitions such as: Prix de Lausanne (Switzerland), Alana Haines (New Zealand), YAGP (USA), Sydney Eisteddfod (Australia), Gen?e International Ballet Competition (RAD), Isobel Anderson Awards (RAD)

The focus of our program is always on the individual. Class numbers are kept small to meet the needs of each student and recognise and nurture individual talent and potential. Regular opportunities to discuss and set long and short-term goals will be an integral facet of the program. Students will be given access to professional guidance regarding auditions, CV preparation, DVD production and portfolio photos.
Safe Dance and Injury prevention are important aspects of a professional career. We have an onsite dance physiotherapist and certified Pilates instructor to support and educate students in the management of their physical needs.
Overseas Tours - We organise oversea tours and private auditions for students who would like to apply for international schools and audition for companies. This will help students to build their own professional network with directors and choreographers which will increase their chances for a successful start into their career. Important News! Registrations for our Europe Tour 2021 are now open.

SCD Youth Company - SCD is offering Full Time Dance students and Transition students a professional company platform to work with artistic directors and choreographers to grow into the role of a professional dancer. Individually choreographed dances will be designed to maximise each student's strengths and inspire the growth of artistic expression. Our Winter Showcase and full-length end of year production provide excellent opportunities for stage experience.

At SCD we teach our students how to work in a professional company environment. The dancers learn skills and techniques to absorb the style and language of the choreographer and embody their movements and be one step ahead of the other applicants. There is so much more to career preparation than just perfecting steps. Our program offers very specific training to work in a choreographic way and gain the skills to contribute to the choreographic process.

Nationally Accredited Qualification - At SCD, our students can achieve a nationally accredited qualification in dance - CERTIFICATE IV IN DANCE - CUA40113 / DIPLOMA OF DANCE - CUA50113/ ADVANCED DIPLOMA OF DANCE - CUA60113. A vocational Diploma is equivalent to Year 12 completion and provides entry into higher education and University institutions throughout the country within the Arts and Business Development related programs.

Youth Transition and Transition students can achieve a statement of attainment for two CERT IV units (CUADAN408 Develop expertise in ballet technique / CUADAN409 Develop expertise in contemporary dance technique) which can be credited towards the CERTIFICATE IV IN DANCE - CUA40113! (Nationally accredited training delivered in partnership with ATOD - RTO 31624).
