Queensland College of Dance is a proud Registered Training Organisation (RTO 1476/CRICOS 01600A) offering nationally recognised qualifications from Certificate III through to Advanced Diploma.
Dance Excellence Program:
CUA30120 - Certificate III in Dance
Time: 1 or 2 years (Part-Time)
Aims: To provide students with a solid, technical foundation that will prepare them to transition
into higher dance qualifications and/or full-time dance training (eligible from grade 10).
Elite Ballet Programs:
Time: 1 or 3 day options available
Aims: To provide transitional pathways towards full-time dance for talented and dedicated young
dancers who are passionate about Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
Pre-Professional Program (Classical):
CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance)
Time: 1 or 2 years (Full-Time)
Aims: To provide students with high quality mentors and training that enriches their technical
skills, artistry, and performance qualities to be able to successfully pursue a career in Classical
Ballet.
Pre-Professional Program (Contemporary):
CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance)
Time: 1 or 2 years (Full-Time)
Aims: To provide students with high quality mentors and training that enriches their technical
skills, improvisation skills, task work, choreographic studies, artistry, and performance qualities to
be able to successfully pursue a career in Contemporary Dance and Choreography.
Pre-Professional Program (Commercial Dance):
CUA51520 - Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance)
Time: 1 or 2 years (Full-Time)
Aims: To provide students with training from high quality industry professionals that challenges
and inspires them to develop skills and attributes to be able to pursue a career in the Commercial
Dance industry.
Pre-Professional Program (Musical Theatre):
CUA50220 - Diploma of Musical Theatre
Time: 1 or 2 years (Full-Time)
Aims: To provide students with training from high quality industry professionals to develop their
vocal, acting, dancing, and performance qualities to be industry ready in their pursuit of a career
in Musical Theatre.
Pre-Professional Advanced Musical Theatre:
10955NAT - Advanced Diploma of Art (Musical Theatre & Commercial Dance)
Time: 1 year (Full-Time)
Aims: To provide an advanced level of professional practice for aspiring musical theatre
performers focusing on the development of complex technique through advanced performance
work in singing, acting, and dancing.
Pre-Professional - Advanced Dance:
CUA60120 - Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance
Time: 1-2 years (Full-Time)
Aims: To extend training beyond the Diploma level to an advanced level of professional practice
for aspiring dancers in the commercial, contemporary, or classical ballet genres.
