Houston Ballet Academy is recognized by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Ballet Vocational School and issues M-1 Visas for International student study.
Description
The Professional Program at Houston Ballet Academy is designed for students interested in a professional ballet career who meet the artistic expectations set forth by the Artistic Directors and show a high level of maturity, initiative, motivation, discipline, and commitment.
Students train in a variety of styles. Primary ballet study will be Vaganova, however, Cecchetti and RAD are emphasized as well. Most classes have a live accompanist.
The Professional Program also includes Houston Ballet II (HBII), the second company of Houston Ballet, America�s fifth largest ballet company. HBII dancers continue to develop technical training while developing as artists through a robust performance calendar in both Academy and Company productions.
Main Subjects
Ballet Technique, Pas de Deux, Pointe, Variations and Coaching, Classical and Contemporary Repertory, Contemporary, Modern, Jazz and other complementary techniques.
