Description
The McDonald College is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational K ? 12 day and boarding school. We specialise in performing arts and elite sports, with an equal focus on academic rigour.
In dance, we offer Classical Ballet, Dance and Musical Theatre.
Students are offered many performance opportunities throughout the year, including a full-length ballet production, High Performance Season, An Evening of Classical Ballet, showcases, eisteddfod groups, and more.
Our dance alumni include Lachlan Monaghan (Birmingham Royal Ballet); Harrison Lee (The Royal Ballet in London); Zoe Horn (Alberta Ballet); Hugo Dumapit and Daniel Idaszak (Australian Ballet); Emily Flannery and Glory Tuohy-Daniell (Bangarra Dance Theatre); Sienna Green and Alexander Idaszak (Queensland Ballet); and Simon Plant (Sydney Dance Company).
We offer boarding in Years 7 - 12.
Main Subjects
Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Lyrical, Tap, Hip Hop and Jazz.
Contact Hours
Primary School up to 8 hours per week.
Secondary School up to 10 hours per week.
We also provide an extensive After Hours program with a capped fee for College students.

Auditions Date
We hold four Auditions per year for entry into Years 5-12 throughout, in addition to Open Days.
