The Australian Ballet’s Robyn Hendricks has emerged as one of the most popular choices in the “Most Outstanding Dancer” category in the Dance Australia 2011 Critics’ Survey.
She was singled out by four critics for her performance in Christopher Wheeldon’s After the Rain.
For this annual survey, critics from around the country are asked to nominate their choices in various categories. Besides Hendricks, in the “Most Outstanding Dancer” category among many other choices were Perth’s Danielle Micich, the Australian Ballet’s Madeleine Eastoe, Sydney Dance Company’s Charmene Yap and Australian Dance Theatre’s Kimball Wong.
Other categories in the Survey include “Most Outstanding Choreography”, “Highlight of the Year” and “Best New Work”.
