Australian audiences will have the opportunity to see the Royal Ballet performing a triple bill of works by three of the world’s top choreographers, on the silver screen, June 30 and July 3.

The program includes Christopher Wheeldon’s Within the Golden Hour (pictured top), Crystal Pites’s Flight Pattern and a new work created for the Royal Ballet by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Based around seven couples separating and intermingling Christopher Wheeldon’s Within the Golden Hour is set to music by Vivaldi and Bosso and lit with rich colours suggested by sunset.

Remounted for the first time, Crystal Pite’s Flight Pattern uses a large dance ensemble and Gorecki’s familiar music from his Symphony of Sorrowful Songs in a poignant reflection on migration.

The triple bill is showing at 20 Event Cinemas nation wide and seven Village Cinemas in Victoria and Hobart.

Participating Event Cinemas include: Campbelltown, Castle Hill, Cronulla, Beverly Hills, Bondi Junction, Burwood, Macquarie, Indooroopilly, Kotara, Pacific Fair, Cairns Earlville, Coolangatta, Noosa, Maroochydore, Toowoomba Strand, Marion, Glenelg, Capitol Manuka, Innaloo and Palmerston.

Participating Village Cinemas include: Knox, Geelong, Karingal, Albury, Rivoli, Eastlands and Launceston.
