With applications open for the 2017 dance intake at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), prospective students can find out more about the program and its facilities at WAAPA’s open day, Sunday 14 August, 10m-3pm.

WAAPA offers full-time courses in dance and musical theatre, as well as Aboriginal theatre, acting, arts management, costume, design, lighting, music, performing arts, props and scenery, screen performance, sound, and stage management. In addition to gaining information on these WAAPA courses, the open day provides opportunities to meet staff and students, visit rehearsals and classes, view exhibitions and watch performances. Visitors will be able to sit in on open class and rehearsals, including rehearsals for the upcoming “Hatch” dance season, a showcase of choreography by third year dance students, performed by dance students, with music by composition and music technology students.
