Auditions can be daunting. That’s why the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) is running a music theatre audition masterclass in selected capital cities around Australia.

The masterclass is run by WAAPA’s co-ordinator of music theatre David King and resident director Crispin Taylor. Running for three hours, the session includes mock auditions for singing, dancing and acting and prepares participants for various audition situations, ranging from cattle-call to callback. The masterclass is suitable for professional and amateur performers, teachers and prospective WAAPA students. Minimum age is 15 years.

And if you're in WA at the moment you can catch WAAPA's musical theatre students performing Legally Blonde. Click here for more info

Audition masterclass dates:

Melbourne: 2 July
Sydney: 3 July
