If you’re thinking about auditioning for dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2016, you had better get onto it! Applications for auditions in the Eastern states close this week, but if you are intending to audition in Perth, you have until 20 September to apply.
The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) offers three undergraduate courses for dancers: the three-year Bachelor of Arts (Dance), the one-year Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance), and the secondary one-year Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance).
WAAPA also offers postgraduate courses, including Honours (LINK Dance Company), the two-year Master of Arts (Creative Arts), the three-year Doctor of Philosophy (Performing Arts).
Audition dates:
Melbourne: September 21
Adelaide: September 22
Canberra: September 23
Brisbane: September 24
Sydney: September 29
Perth: October 22 and 23.
Postgraduate and LINK Dance Company auditions will be held in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne in October/November.
