Katrina Lazaroff’s dance-theatre company, One Point 618, will present the world premiere of her latest work, Involuntary, at the Space Theatre in Adelaide from May 1 – 5.

“Involuntary looks at how society is preoccupied by the pressures of life, consumerism and regulation. The work aims to stimulate audiences to question their values by proposing light-hearted and confronting views of our engagement with reality.”

Lazaroff is an experienced dancer, teacher, choreographer and director, having worked with numerous dance and theatre companies. In 2010 her company presented her full-length work Pomona Road at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

Involuntary boasts a formidable ensemble of exceptional arts professionals including seasoned dancers Tim Rodgers, Ninian Donald, Veronica Shum and Jessica Statton, video and lighting by Nic Mollison, sound design by Sascha Budimski and a collaborative set design effort from Nic Mollison, Richard Seidel and Katrina Lazaroff.

In addition to the performances, Adelaide Festival Centre’s GreenRoom youth arts membership program in partnership with centrED will presents a Dance Masterclass with Lazaroff on Wednesday 2 May, 1-3pm, Space Theatre. To register call 08 8216 8594 or email here.
