50 years ago, Elizabeth Cameron Dalman founded Australian Dance Theatre (ADT). Dalman was ADT’s director for 10 years, until the board notoriously sacked the entire company. Dalman relocated to Italy, returning to Australia 11 years later and establishing first Mirramu Creative Arts Centre and then Mirramu Dance Company in 2001.

Now Mirramu Dance Company and ADT will come together for one night only on 18 July at the Dunstan Playhouse in the Adelaide Festival Centre. Mirramu Dance Company will present Dalman’s L and ADT will present an excerpt from Garry Stewart’s Be Yourself.

L began life as Sapling to Silver in 2011, a largely autobiographical work which has been redeveloped in celebration of ADT’s 50th anniversary. For more info, including bookings, head to www.adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au/shows/mirramu-dance-company
