Choreographer Sandra Parker's newest creation extends her usual focus on minimal movement and gestural action. Called Small Details, the work asks the audience to consider the vulnerabilities, limitations and potentials of the body in an increasingly automated and technologically advanced world.
Performed by Rebecca Jensen, Melissa Jones and Kasey Lack, Small Details promises densely layered choreography, testing both the performers' and audience's capacity to meet the demands of the choreographic system. “At its apex, where precision and fixity break, the work attunes attention beyond its choreographic logic, pushing it towards the point of exhaustion.”
