The Dancers Company is taking to the road for its annual tour, this time with a diverse triple bill program.

The company will perform two favourites: Paquita and Act 3 from Swan Lake, as well as a new work choreographed by Simon Dow (who will be remembered for his performances as the doddering knight in the Dancers Company production of Don Quixote). The tour begins in July in Mount Gambier and will finish in Alice Springs on August 19 and 20, via centres in South Australia, Victoria, NSW and the Northern Territory.

The Dancers Company is made up of the graduate year of the Australian Ballet School and is the regional touring arm of the Australian Ballet, with guest dancers from the main company performing the leading roles. This year Amy Harris and Andrew Wright will appear in Mount Gambier, Geelong, Sale, Bendigo, Broken Hill and Mildura. Miwako Kubota and Christopher Rodgers-Wilson will appear in Renmark, Port Pirie, Whyalla, Darwin, Alice Springs and Tanunda. All four are Telstra Ballet Dancer nominees – Harris being the 2012 winner.
