The Australian Ballet School national audition tour

The Australian Ballet School (ABS) will be conducting its annual audition tour this June and July. The ABS offers a carefully graded eight-level training programme to prepare students for a professional dance career. Auditions are open to all boys and girls aged from nine and above with a dream to create a future in dance.

The Australian Ballet School offers:

• Full-Time Programme with vocational training and academic studies for students aged 13/14 years and above

• After School Programme for students aged 9 – 13 years

• Interstate/International Training Programme for students aged 9 – 13 years

• Limited opportunity to access the school’s training programme for selected interstate students, aged 14/15 years

• As a NVR Registered Training Organisation the school delivers VET accredited courses: Diploma of Dance (22034VIC), Advanced Diploma of Dance (22029VIC), Vocational Graduate Diploma of Classical Ballet (10012NAT)

• Accredited Course Provider, Levels 5 – 8 NVR RTO Provider Code 3132 CRICOS Provider Code 00253A

Auditions for the Full-Time Programme, After School Programme and the Interstate International Training Programme are conducted by staff of the Australian Ballet School in major Australian cities each year, for intake the following January. Registration is essential and early application is advised.

To pay the early bird Fee, Launceston, Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns applications must be received by 3 June 2013. Applications received after 3 June 2013 are required to pay the standard fee. Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne auditionees must submit their application by 1 July 2013 to pay the early bird fee.
