The Queensland Ballet’s production of Swan Lake opened on December 3 at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre and runs till the 21st Choreographer Francois Klaus’s version honours the original while centering his story around the real life ballerina Mathilde Kschessinska, who was one of the stars of Russia’s Imperial Ballet in its golden years of the late 19th century.
