On View: Live Portraits, the latest offering from choreographer and dance film-maker Sue Healey, will premiere at Carriageworks 17-25 July. Part 1 of On View: Live Portraits features video portraits of Australia choreographers Martin del Amo, Shona Erskine, Benjamin Hancock, Raghav Handa and Nalina Wair. The season will include live performances from the five artists. Part 2 involves video portraits of Australian dance icons Dame Lucette Aldous and Professor Shirley McKechnie AO, which will feature as part of a complementary exhibition that will be open daily throughout the season.

By inviting audiences to interact with the work both through film and live performance, Healey explores the ways in which perceptions of dance can be deepened through multiple viewings and manipulations of the material she creates.

The exhibition is free. The live performances, which will happen in the evenings, are ticketed.
