Rogerson Dance Studios may only be in its first year of offering full-time ballet training, but the school has already had a number of student successes.
Rogerson student Finola Xie is currently in New York, at the Joffrey Summer School, where she has been offered a part-scholarship to attend the school’s full-time program. She has, however, chosen to accept a half-scholarship at Theater Basel in Switzerland.
In 2013 Rogerson student Sara Andrion won the Houston Ballet Scholarship, which gave her a full scholarship to the Houston Summer School. Whilst at the summer school, Sara was offered a scholarship to the school’s full-time program, but after much deliberation, chose to take up the offer of a place at the Australian Ballet School in 2014.
Another Rogerson student, Emily Gomersall, is currently in the process of auditioning for the Australian Ballet School. Emily has made it through to the final round and so will be heading to Melbourne in August to take part in Finals Week.
