The Dance Education in Australian Schools (DEAS) Roundtable 2013 is an opportunity to share knowledge in preparation for implementation of the new national arts curriculum. Ausdance National in partnership with Ausdance Victoria invites teachers, educational leaders, researchers, departmental officers and dance educators to attend the DEAS Roundtable 2013. The roundtable will focus on “best practice” in the classroom, and provide the opportunity to engage with professional dance companies offering education programs.
The new National Curriculum: Arts, endorsed by all state and territory education ministers and the federal minister in late July 2013, provides the opportunity for every Australian student to engage with quality learning experiences in five arts areas – including dance.
