Dance Australia congratulates the 25 young dancers who have won places in Sydney Dance Company’s inaugural pre-professional year training program:

The dancers range in age from 17 to 22 years.  More than 220 dancers applied for the places.  Some of the successful dancers are graduates from Australian tertiary dance programs including the Victorian College of the Arts – University of Melbourne, Queensland University of Technology and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Others have trained internationally at institutions including Hamburg Ballet School, Zurich Opera House Ballet School, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre and Northern School of Contemporary Dance UK.
