RAD Genee results

The annual Royal Academy of Dance Genee International Ballet Competition has just wound up at its venue in South Africa. For once in many a long year, no Australian was among the medal count, but Jessica Brown (15) won the audience award.

All up there were four Australians among the 12 finalists: Simon Jones, William Fitzgerald, Macbeth Kanera and Jessica. No gold medals were awarded, but Silver (females) was shared by Mana Ogawa, Japan (17) and Si Jia Miao, China - Hong Kong (19) and bronze went to Ashley Scott, South Africa (17). The silver medal (males) went to Jin Hao Zhang, China (16) and the bronze to Mlindi Kulashe, South Africa (19).

Next year’s Genee will be held in New Zealand.
