Queensland Ballet (QB) has launched a new program and website offering children a window into the world of ballet. This new initiative is designed to connect with children throughout Queensland, wherever they live.
The QB Junior website is an interactive experience designed to entertain and educate children through videos, photos, activities and competitions. The website sits alongside a new membership program called QB Junior Friends.
QB Junior Friends provides children and young people with a chance to connect with a professional ballet company, access classes and workshops, receive invitations to special events and be eligible for special regional travel bursaries. Membership also includes a bag, t-shirt and bag tag.

In addition to the program and website, QB has an “Adopt-a-Dancer” initiative which enables private dance studios in South East Queensland to “adopt” a QB company dancer for a year. The dancer will lead workshops and classes in the studio, and studios and students maintain an ongoing relationship with their adopted dancer via email, posters and post-show connections.
