Youth ballet company Premier State Ballet (PSB) will be holding auditions at Sydney’s McDonald College 4 and 11 February 2017.
PSB provides the opportunity for students to be part of a semi-professional ballet company and acts as a feeder into elite ballet schools around the world. PSB currently works with students from the McDonald College and the McDonald College After Hours Program, as well as external students.

The company’s artistic director, Australian Ballet School graduate Joshua Consandine, says that PSB is a great opportunity for
aspiring dancers to get industry experience. “Our semi-professional ballet company has been the launching pad for many renowned dancers who are now following pursuing their dreams as professional dancers, both in Australia and internationally. The level of talent that we have working with us is world-class and we are always on the lookout for new students,” he comments.

PSB almuni include Robert Curran (former principal of the Australian Ballet and now artistic director of Louisville Ballet), Lachlan
Monaghan (dancer, Birmingham Ballet), Amanda McGuigan (dancer, the Australian Ballet), Gina Brescianini (ballet teacher,
Sydney Dance Company) and Harrison Lee (student, Royal Ballet School).
