Dance is a highly active profession. Like athletes, a good nutritious diet is essential if you want to perform at your best every day, and having a good breakfast is the best way to start. If you are struggling to fit in a nutritious breakfast, aim to set aside some extra time in the morning and plan ahead if you can.

Some quick and easy breakfasts are smoothies (using milk, yoghurt and fresh fruit such as berries or banana), swiss-style muesli with yoghurt and fresh berries – no cooking required! Or try my super speedy scrambled eggs:

Put two eggs in a microwave proof bowl with a splash of milk and handful of grated cheese. Whisk all together then put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir it, then repeat for another 30 seconds. Voila! Fantastic on a piece or two of grainy toast.
