DirtyFeet, the Sydney-based organisation for contemporary dance artists with and without a disability, is seeking Expressions of Interest for its new secondment program. Two places are on offer to emerging artists. Applications close March 31. Just go here.

DirtyFeet has a busy year ahead. It  kicks off with the return of its annual Choreographic Lab. From 33 applicants, Cassidy McDermott Smith has been chosen for this valuable opportunity, which provides two-weeks’ rehearsal space, a cash stipend for the choreographer and four dancers, a studio showing and administrative and creative support. The showing will take place on Friday April 19.

In May, DirtyFeet is hosting its annual community workshops, called The Right Foot. The guest mentors are Chris Bunton, an actor, gymnast and dancer who happens to have Down Syndrome, and Bonnie Curtis, founder of Bonnie Curtis Projects.

An intensive choreographic project, Emerging Makers, takes place over August. In September, DirtyFeet’s 2024 Out Of The Studio performance season will take place at the Sydney Dance Company Studio Theatre. This will be a triple bill featuring newly developed works by Amy Flannery, Emma Riches and Vishnu Arunsalam.
