Opera Australia are seeking two experienced dancers (one male, one female) for the Sydney Summer 2014 production of Onegin.
The two dancers are to play 'Tatiana' & 'Onegin' as movement doubles of the principal artists - Nicole Car (176cm) as 'Tatiana' and Dalibor Jenis (185cm) as 'Onegin'. See above and below for images of both artists - the dancers must be very close in height to the principal artists - dancers can only be considered if they are within 1-2 cms of these figures. A close physical resemblance is also preferred.
Both dancers must have strong technique in modern/contemporary dance and/or neo-balletic movement. They will be submitted to a London-based choreographer for consideration, so they must be able to provide video links of their work. It will be cast using this footage provided, immediately. Rehearsals will commence on 20th January, the season runs through until 28th March 2014 with eight performances at the Sydney Opera House.
