LINK Dance Company’s upcoming triple bill, “Tipping Point”, will feature work by 2015 Tanja Liedtke Fellowship winner Gabrielle Nankivell, and LINK alumni Carly Armstrong, Jessica Lewis and Amy Wiseman (Unkempt Dance) and Emma Fishwick.

South Australia based Nankivell has made her name known as both a dancer and a choreographer. Renowned for her compelling self-devised solos, she is no stranger to Perth, having presented Suite Secret, as part of Strut Dance’s “Mi Casa es Su Casa” at Fringeworld 2015. In 2014 she also created Wildebeest for Sydney Dance Company’s "New Breed" season. Nankivell is choreographer/movement co-ordinator for Windmill Theatre’s multi award-winning School Dance, Girl Asleep trilogy and the upcoming feature film Girl Asleep – the film.

Unkempt Dance (Carly Armstrong, Jessica Lewis and Amy Wiseman) is known for making light-hearted dance theatre works.  The trio has created and performed works for Perth’s Fringeworld, various Strut Dance seasons and Short+Sweet Canberra. Unkempt Dance has been awarded a residency at the Blue Room Theatre and was commissioned to create a work for the National Architecture Conference in 2014. Unkempt Dance also curates and produces "In Short", an annual season of new short works by local choreographers, commissioned by Strut Dance.

Emma Fishwick’s work for “Tipping Point” is entitled I contemplate my conclusion. “This piece explores infinite endings within a perpetual cycle of beginnings,” explains Fishwick. A photographer as well as a a choreographer, Fishwick’s work often blurs the boundaries between dance and visual arts.

Fishwick presented her solo A dance with no home as part of the “Paperland” triple bill presented as part of Fringeworld 2014. Fishwick has been the recipient of a Department of Culture and the Arts WA Fellowship (2014) and an Australian Council JUMP grant (2012). She has worked on various projects both in Australia and overseas, and is currently developing a new work, microLandscapes for Next Wave Festival 2016.
