The August/September issue of Dance Australia is hot off the presses!

Our beautiful cover image features West Australian Ballet’s Alessandro Scognamiglio and Claire Voss, photographed by Frances Andrijich.

It’s a fitting cover for an issue that includes the debut of our new regular feature, “Great Collaborations”, in which we talk to some of Australia’s most exciting and dynamic creative duos.

Plus you can read all about West Australian Ballet’s next production, The Great Gatsby. We spoke to choreographer David Nixon to find out all about this beautiful ballet with its glamorous 1920s setting.

We also got a fascinating feature investigating musicality and what makes a musical dancer, by Emma Sandall. In her regular “Ask Emma” column Emma also answers the question, how much stretching is enough?

And then tucked in the middle of the mag is the annual Full-Time Studies Guide, packed with everything you need to know about choosing a full-time dance course.

But that’s not all! We’ve got a wonderful piece about Shakespeare and Dance from special guest Alan Brissenden, Matthew Lawrence keeps us entertained as always with his reflections on the life of a dancer, Sally Clark brings you the latest showbiz news… and more!

Don’t miss out! Buy the new issue at your favourite magazine retailer or subscribe here, or purchase an online copy via the Dance Australia app.
