Melbourne City Ballet (MCB) is preparing to retell Bram Stoker’s classic horror story, Dracula, at Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre from 7-9 October.

With a musical score from 19th century composers Liszt and Rachmaninov, MCB will present Dracula as a new three act ballet.

Dracula is the story of a British lawyer, named Jonathan Harker who travels to Castle Dracula, located in Transylvania. He travels there to meet with a man called Count Dracula. As he journeys through the countryside the local peasants warn Harker not to travel to his destination. They give him charms and other mysterious things. The peasants warn him that the man who lives in the castle is a vampire but he still continues his journey…
