STRUT dance, Western Australia’s Choreographic Development Centre, has announced the appointment of Paul Selwyn Norton as its director.
A dancer, choreographer and teacher of 25 years experience, Norton has created work for Chunky Move, Stalker Theatre, Strings Attached and Expressions Dance Company. He has also worked as a lecturer and choreographer with Queensland University of Technology, Victorian College of the Arts, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts and LINK Dance Company. He has directed and produced dance and theatre works in Europe, Israel and the US.
Initially Norton will be acting in the role of consultant as STRUT dance begins to reshape its role and position within Australian dance ecology. He will take up the full position later in 2013.
