Brooke Leeder will be remounting her work Mechanic at PS Art Space in Fremantle, August 13-15. Winner of the 2014 West Australian Dance Award for Outstanding Achievement in Choreography, Mechanic explores continuous, gradually accelerating cycles.
Loud, brash and intricate; fast, repetitive and daring, Mechanic explores the intriguing and, at times, overwhelming nature of repetition. The work features dancers Nicole Ward, Tyrone Robinson, Zoe Wozniak, Shuling Wong, Harrison Elliott and Tahlia Russell, with lighting design by Elliot Chambers, original sound composition by Dane Yates and images by Simon Pynt.
