The Marten Bequest Scholarships, for which the Trust Company acts as Trustee, were first awarded in 1975, and have benefited many young Australians in launching their artistic careers. One such past winner is Alexandra Stewart, who won the scholarship for ballet in 2009. The scholarship allowed her to travel to Europe to audition for ballet schools. She is currently living in Munich and a trainee with the prestigious Bayerisches Staatsballett.
