A new international touring production of Magic Mike Live will make its Australian premiere in Perth next year, with Australian performers among its cast and new choreography designed for an immersive theatre setting.

Magic Mike Live – The Tour opens at Crown Theatre on 24 February 2027, before travelling to Adelaide Festival Centre’s Festival Theatre for a season from 7–24 April.

Created and co-directed by Channing Tatum, the stage show draws on the Magic Mike films, combining dance, acrobatics, live music and comedy. The new touring production is co-directed and choreographed by Emmy-nominated choreographer Alison Faulk, with Luke Broadlick as choreographer and associate director. Aerial choreography and apparatus design are by Dreya Weber.

The production brings together the largest company assembled for a single Magic Mike Live production to date. Kalon Badenhorst leads the cast as Mike, while Australia’s Julie Yamannee shares the role of MC with Chelsea Lee Wheatley.

Australian dancer Kiana De Van Der Schueren will return to her home state of South Australia for the Adelaide season. The cast also includes New Zealand-born Mark Lace, who studied and lived in Sydney before relocating to the United Kingdom, and fellow New Zealanders Taylor Diamond-Lord, now based in Melbourne, and Cameron Holland, who lives in London.

Both Australian venues will be reconfigured to create a 360-degree environment, surrounding audiences with the action. Across its 90-minute running time, the production will introduce new routines, music and staging alongside familiar moments and audience interaction from the original show.

Executive producer Vincent Marini said the touring format had been developed to take the experience beyond its established residencies.

“For years now, our team has tried to figure out how to bring the experience that millions of Magic Mike Live fans have witnessed at our residencies in London and Las Vegas to audiences in cities, large and small, around the world,” he said.

Marini described the result as “bigger, bolder and in many ways even more groundbreaking than the original”, citing new music, reimagined choreography and the production’s surrounding stage design.

Since its premiere in 2017, Magic Mike Live has established long-running residencies in Las Vegas and London, with previous engagements including Australia, Berlin, Miami and Dallas.

Tickets for both Australian seasons go on sale on Wednesday 14 October: at 9.30am AWST through Ticketmaster for Perth, and noon ACDT through Ticketek for Adelaide. For bookings and the full cast, visit magicmikelive.com/tour.
