The Adelaide company Leigh Warren and Dancers is asking people sympathetic to its plight to sign an online petition.
The company had its triennial funding cut in this year’s round of Australia Council grants. “This comes after LWD's most successful year to date, with performances in three separate festivals, some sensational new projects coming up and overseas invitations for the year ahead. Help us fight back to appeal this decision which would deprive SA of a valuable resource and a contributor to dance on so many levels,” says a website statement.
