The eight semi-finalists for the 2016 Keir Choreographic Award have been announced!

These eight choreographers have each been commissioned make a work which will be presented at the semi-finals, at Melbourne’s Dancehouse this April. On the last evening of this season, four finalists will be announced. The finals will take place 5-7 May at Carriageworks in Sydney.

The Semi-Finals season is complemented by the Dancehouse Public Program, a celebration and interrogation of contemporary choreography. Amongst the dance thinkers and practitioners taking part in the discussions will be celebrated American critic Deborah Jowitt.
